Who we are
Sharpe Blue (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can contact us at contact@sharpeblue.com.
The data we collect
- Information you give us — for example when you complete a contact, demo or pricing enquiry form: your name, email address, organisation, phone number and any message.
- Information collected automatically — basic, mostly aggregated analytics about how the site is used (pages viewed, approximate region, device type). See our Cookie Policy for what is and isn’t set, and when.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
| Purpose | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Responding to your enquiry and providing a demo or quote | Performance of a contract / taking steps at your request |
| Sending you information you asked for | Consent |
| Understanding and improving how the site performs | Legitimate interests (and consent for cookie-based analytics) |
| Meeting legal and accounting obligations | Legal obligation |
Cookies and analytics
We set non-essential analytics and marketing cookies only after you accept them. Full details — including the cookieless Statichost analytics, Google Analytics and HubSpot — are in our Cookie Policy.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract, including:
- HubSpot — CRM and forms (enquiry handling).
- Google Analytics — website analytics (only with your consent).
- Statichost — website hosting and privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics.
Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry data only as long as needed to deal with your request and for our legitimate business and legal record-keeping, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict our use of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email contact@sharpeblue.com.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, though we’d appreciate the chance to help first.
